Food Democracy & Fight Big Food

Summer is here and many have lost the weight this past spring and are enjoying their healthy bodies and healthy lifestyles. Now that the stored fat is gone and their bodies are sculpted naturally (no more cellulite), there is no turning back. My clients understand the importance of fresh, good quality, proteins, vegetables and fruits. Processed foods are becoming a thing of the past as they further realize how detrimental they are to their overall health. Spending more at the grocery store than they spend on medical treatment is coming back in vogue! Finally. Now we need to keep it that way. Our food supply is being taken over by corporate America. We need to support the efforts of those that understand the importance of an untainted food supply. I hope you are supporting your local farmers and I further hope you will support American farmers all over the United States. This 4th of July, make a pledge to stand up for our Independence and let your voices be heard.

The summer growing season is in full bloom – literally. This is the time of year when we begin to reap what we grow. I have two movements that I am backing and I am asking that you will back these causes with me. As Americans, we must speak up about what is important to us. I can’t think of anything more important than protecting our food supply. Please help me help us, all of us!

#1 Food Democracy Now!, is a grassroots community dedicated to creating a food system that nourishes families, sustains farmers, and protects our natural environment. FDN organizes its members through online campaigns and in-person actions on issues like organics, GMOs, food labeling, support for farmers, and many others.

#2 Fight Big Food is dedicated to assisting our farmers all over America. Today family farmers face some of the worst times since the Great Depression. For years poultry growers have suffered under unfair contracts and unlivable wages, which has increasingly gotten worse over the past several decades due to increased concentration and lax enforcement of existing laws, such as the Packers and Stockyards Act. These joint Department of Justice/USDA hearings are an opportunity for justice, but farmers are being silenced by corporate agribusiness who doesn't want the DOJ to hear their story. They need your voice today. Please stand with them!

Now you know (NYK)! Pass it along and be A VOICE FOR CHANGE.
Namaste (I bow to you), Donna
