The Truth About Sparkling Apple Cider Vinegar

I didn't know that (IDKT) .... sparkling clear apple cider vinegar should be anything but sparkling and clear! I’m sure you have heard of many health benefits of this vinegar. You can use it for marinating meat, chicken and fish or for flavoring and dressing up salads. There are also many health benefits which I'll cover in another blog. But for now, if you are using apple cider vinegar that is clear and sparkling, STOP. And here is why .....

Apple cider vinegar that contains all of the nutrition and health benefits is not a clear vinegar. It is actually the opposite and should be organic and unfiltered. Good healthy vinegar should have a brownish tinge to it. If you try looking through it, you will notice a tiny cobweb-like substance floating in it. This is known as the "mother", and means the apple cider vinegar is of good quality with all the nutrients and health giving properties intact.

Many would not buy vinegar from the supermarket that is not clear. Many would think it was not good if it had a brown tinge to it and forget about it if they saw something floating around in it. This is why manufacturers distill their vinegar. They want you to buy it. What they should be doing is educating you. Instead they process the product -- vinegar is steamed (cooked) to make it clear which destroys almost all of the health giving nutrients.

Next time your are in the grocery store, you’ll know what to look for in a good vinegar! Remember you have a vote in the choice of foods that line your grocery store shelves. You vote 3 times a day, every time you sit down to eat a meal, everytime you put a fork to your mouth.

Now you know (NYK)! Pass it along and be A VOICE FOR CHANGE.
Namaste (I bow to you), Donna
