This is a response to a letter I got - the sender was asking if there was anything they could do to get healthy and also become part of the movement and revolution that Dr. Edward W. Pearson is heading up. This person has listened to his lectures and is in agreement and is currently unemployed. This person was wondering if there was a way to work out a discount so they could get healthy and start a new business at the same time. Thought I'd share what I told this person. There is an important message here.
I totally understand where you are coming from. I’m right where you are actually and had to make some hard decisions myself.
I don’t have health insurance either. I’ve been unemployed for a year although my unemployment was by choice because I could no longer live with myself knowing what I know about health care in America today. My daughter’s health at the age of 19 is the direct result of the sickness that has permeated our country in terms of greed. I had to jump in and become an example for her so that she could turn her life around from a nutritional standpoint and get on a path to health and wellness. I knew if I didn’t do something, not only would my health continue to go downhill myself – although be it slowly – she would be dying long before I would and that for me as a mom, is not an option. Not when the death would be the result of profiteers peddling bad food and medicine for the sake of a dollar in their pocket and big corporate profits.
So what I did was get a credit card with zero % interest for a year and I have used that as my source of paying for my health. That investment not only got me healthy and feeling like I am in my 20’s again, it also showed my daughter what great health entails and she is now on the path to getting healthy herself. For me, that is priceless and worth the effort it took for me to make this happen.
Aside from that benefit, I was also able to become a health style counselor for the New Medicine Foundation with direct ties to Dr. Pearson and his mission. I am now able to have income from something that I am passionate about. I am now able to help not just me and my family, but friends and strangers alike. It isn’t hard either. I just tell them my story about how I feel now that I am educated and healthy and I tell them how I got there. New Medicine provides everything for counselors to get started too; business cards, your own website, training, support. There is nothing out there in America today that compares to the opportunity that is being offered by Dr. Pearson. He is even waiving the counselor fees which pay for the cost of the cards and the website for a limited time in an effort to help people get started. We have to begin somewhere – he realized that and is working tirelessly to help us, help him, help humanity.
So I am sorry I don’t have better news for you. We would love to help in monetary ways but New Medicine also has expenses to pay and if we do it for one, we need to do it for everyone. The fees involved here, compared to what other medical modalities charge for inferior services, are cheap. People will spend more on car payments, insurance premiums, vacations and parties than they will on their health. This is the shift that needs to take place. We must make our health the number one priority in our lives. Without that, everything else is pointless.
I hope you understand where I am coming from and can find a way to come on board. We would love to have you as a counselor but more importantly, we would love to see you, yourself, get healthy and on track to living a balanced, disease and drug free life. After all, as they say, you have nothing if you don’t have your health.
