NUTRIENT UPDATE - WE MUST CLAIM OUR RIGHT TO CHOICE.

When I think of July, I think of Independence Day. We are coming close to losing our Independence and freedom of choice at the vitamin counter. If we don’t get our heads out of the sand quickly and unite as a unified voice and force, we may lose our right to freedom of choice over the natural and non-patentable substances that we have come to rely on today

I didn't know that (IDKT):

* 1 company (Monsanto) controls the seeds of 93% of soybeans and 80% of the corn grown in the U.S.

* 4 companies (Tyson, Cargill, Swift and National Beef Packing Co.) control 83% of the beef packing industry.

* Just 4 companies (Smithfield, Tyson, Swift and Cargill) control 66% of the pork-packing industry

Here is a link to start the flow of information into your brain. Read it, absorb it and then take action in any way you can. Pharmaceutical Profit Big Government Bias

This Little Piggy Went to Market ...

I didn't know that (IDKT) .... There is a pig farmer in Iowa that cuts off their pig's tails so they won't be bitten by other pigs?

Why you ask; because they are packed so tightly in pens and left that way for approx 5 months. After watching the movie "Food, Inc", I doubt they ever get to leave their cramped quarters during this approximate 5 month period which is the time it takes them to grow to full capacity, ready for slaughter. Their diet of corn and antibiotics, genetically modified corn laden w pesticides I might add, is a sure bet that they get to their full size in such a short amount of time.

Makes you want to run to the store and buy some pork right --- NOT!!!!

Food Democracy & Fight Big Food

Summer is here and many have lost the weight this past spring and are enjoying their healthy bodies and healthy lifestyles. Now that the stored fat is gone and their bodies are sculpted naturally (no more cellulite), there is no turning back. My clients understand the importance of fresh, good quality, proteins, vegetables and fruits. Processed foods are becoming a thing of the past as they further realize how detrimental they are to their overall health. Spending more at the grocery store than they spend on medical treatment is coming back in vogue! Finally. Now we need to keep it that way. Our food supply is being taken over by corporate America. We need to support the efforts of those that understand the importance of an untainted food supply. I hope you are supporting your local farmers and I further hope you will support American farmers all over the United States. This 4th of July, make a pledge to stand up for our Independence and let your voices be heard.

The summer growing season is in full bloom – literally. This is the time of year when we begin to reap what we grow. I have two movements that I am backing and I am asking that you will back these causes with me. As Americans, we must speak up about what is important to us. I can’t think of anything more important than protecting our food supply. Please help me help us, all of us!

#1 Food Democracy Now!, is a grassroots community dedicated to creating a food system that nourishes families, sustains farmers, and protects our natural environment. FDN organizes its members through online campaigns and in-person actions on issues like organics, GMOs, food labeling, support for farmers, and many others.

Food Democracy

#2 Fight Big Food is dedicated to assisting our farmers all over America. Today family farmers face some of the worst times since the Great Depression. For years poultry growers have suffered under unfair contracts and unlivable wages, which has increasingly gotten worse over the past several decades due to increased concentration and lax enforcement of existing laws, such as the Packers and Stockyards Act. These joint Department of Justice/USDA hearings are an opportunity for justice, but farmers are being silenced by corporate agribusiness who doesn't want the DOJ to hear their story. They need your voice today. Please stand with them!
