When I think of July, I think of Independence Day. We are coming close to losing our Independence and freedom of choice at the vitamin counter. I didn't know that (IDKT) .... the pharmaceutical industry supplies approximately 50% of the annual operating budget of the FDA? OMG, this is big. We have the wolf guarding the hen house. Who keeps the wolf in check?
The pharmaceutical industry has been experiencing a financial loss of revenue, comparatively speaking that is. Assets are declining due to the expiration of patents on various drugs. The doors are now open for other companies to produce low-cost generic substitutes meaning they are up against competition and or further declining profits. As they began to look at alternatives to protect their revenues, they discovered the competition posed by dietary supplements which are cheap in comparison to the cost of drugs. In doing so, the rumors began to circulate and a lot of misinformation began to hit the marketplace. Case studies are being altered and the rumor mill is filled with lies and deceit.
